Applications for Chair of Council, 2019
The Medical Student Council of Victoria (MSCV) is proud to announce that applications are now open for the position of Chair of Council for 2019.
MSCV is the peak representative body for Victorian medical students. The Chair of MSCV is thereby the senior medical student advocacy position within Victoria.
Chair of MSCV is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engaged student leaders to represent Victorian medical students, work alongside and to the benefit of Victorian MedSocs, design and co-ordinate state-level advocacy campaigns as well as oversee major student-run events. The role requires a significant personal time commitment. Students from all four Victorian Medical Schools are eligible to apply.
Each applicant will be required to submit a CV (no more than two pages), and a vision statement (no more than three hundred words in length). These must be emailed to your respective MedSoc President by 9.00am Monday 17th September.
The election will be held in line with the process outlined in the MSCV Constitution and MSCV Regulations and by-laws where each MedSoc President may short list a maximum of two applicants to progress to the interview stage.
Shortlisted applicants must be available to attend an interview on the evening of Thursday 20th September 2018, to be held at the University of Melbourne, Parkville campus. In person attendance is preferred. Teleconferencing may be available but please speak to the current Chair ahead of time to enquire.
